With so much raw natural beauty and something to offer for everyone, we think you’ll fall in love with Chamonix…

Visit the Aiguille du Midi…

A 3842m peak in the Mont Blanc massif of the French Alps serviced by Europe’s highest cable car. This is the closest you can get to the summit of Mont-Blanc without hiking or climbing. It offers a 360° view of the French, Swiss and Italian Alps.

Go for a hike…

Discover the diverse natural beauty and wildlife scattered throughout the valley. The Chamonix valley offers 350 km of superbly maintained and well sign-posted hiking trails so that you don’t have to spend all day staring at your map and compass – just enjoy the views!

Come climbing with us….

Climbing in the Mont-Blanc massif and the Chamonix Valley means compact rock, high mountains, superb granite and miles of gneiss. Whether you are an experienced rock climber or a total novice, nothing will stop you scaling the natural rock faces of the valley. If the weather isn’t looking too good, checkout the indoor climbing gym with more than 110 routes and 40 boulders.

Embrace your need for speed…

Since the opening of new trails in 2013, Chamonix has become a mountain biker’s heaven. Technical riding and easy cross-country trails means there’s something for everyone. Trails can be accessed via lifts or the available shuttle services, both of which are great options to get to the trails without a hassle.

Embark on a via ferrata…

If you can handle some exposure, this is a must do! The via ferrata “Via des Évettes” provides the best view of the Mont Blanc range from la Flégère. With a mixture of hiking and climbing, you’ll be amazed at your achievement! This is a great group activity that allows you to take on otherwise impassable ledges and cliffs.

Relax at the spa…

Don’t miss out on the pleasure of an outdoor spa with views across the peaks of Mont Blanc. A great option for those lazy days or when the weather isn’t cooperating.

See a glacier up close…

A train takes you on a panoramic ride up to France’s largest glacier, the famous Mer de Glace. Upon arriving at the top, an extraordinary view of the glacier, frozen like a sea in motion will await you. Visit the ice cave or the Glaciorium for an interactive display on the formation glaciers.

Learn to fly…

Get some altitude and fly like a bird. You’ll fly over the forests and mountains and enjoy astonishing views of snow-capped mountains and tumbling glaciers.

Go for a run…

In just a few years, Chamonix Valley-Mont Blanc has become a favorite trail running destination— a choice of fast and exposed routes with a variety of total height differences — attract thousands of trail runners from all over the world during the summer season.

Give canyoning a try…

Big jumps in to natural pools, swim under waterfalls, and cascade down bedrock slides. You’ll work your way down a canyon for a brilliant watery experience. A must do on our list.

Go rafting…

Looking more for team spirit? Then Rafting down the River in an inflatable boat is what you’re looking for!

Or just relax…

Get comfy at home with a good book and a cup of tea, or go for a stroll around town and discover your favorites amongst the many cafes and bars.

…its your holiday you decide!
